State Registration\Accrediation Status
George Wythe University is registered under the Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act
(Title
13, Chapter
34, Utah Code).
Registration under the Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act does not mean that the
State of Utah supervises, recommends, or accredits the institution. It is the student's responsibility to determine whether credits, degrees, or certificates from the institution will transfer to other institutions or meet employers' training requirements. This may be done by calling the prospective school or employer.
George Wythe University is currently undergoing accreditation of its on-campus undergraduate program. The accrediting agency is the American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE) in Washington D.C. AALE is a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Click here to view the Department’s list of all recognized accrediting agencies, including AALE. The fact that George Wythe is undergoing accreditation should not be construed as a statement or assurance that accreditation will, in fact, be granted.

Acceptance of students or graduates is always the prerogative of the receiving institution or employer. For these reasons, besides ascertaining the accredited status of a school or program, students should take additional measures to determine, prior to enrollment, whether or not their educational goals will be met through attendance at a particular institution.
